Not Another PR Blog?!
Since I started RKPR back in 2007 I never entertained the idea of having a blog.
There are so many tremendously compelling and informative blogs for PR and communication professionals, including Arik Hanson, Danny Brown, Brian Solis, Lauren Fernandez, David Mullen, Todd Defren, David Teicher, Stuart Foster – yes, I could go on and on.
Each one provides a different and thought-provoking angle on PR, social media and the inner workings of relationship building that it’s already impossible for me to read it all.
I dismissed the idea that I could offer anything to enhance the awesome conversations already taking place other than throw my two cents into comments here and there.
Fortunately, I have a lot of very kind and wonderful friends in the PR industry; many who I mentioned above, who urged me to throw my hat in the ring. Most people who know me understand I can be pretty passionate (argumentative, aggressive, combative, whatever!) when it comes to my clients, PR, social media and the art of communication. You’ll see some of that here.
You’ll also hear from Natalie and Brittany, my savvy staff, as they weigh in on topics that interest them.
Looking forward to stimulating conversation.
Rachel Kay

Rachel,
There’s always room for more relevant insight. Glad to see you join the blogging world, and look forward to your perspective.

Paul,
Thank you very much! We hope to add some decent fodder to the conversation – there is a lot to chat about. I appreciate you checking it out!
Rachel
Welcome to the blogosphere, Rachel. Glad to see you finally taking the dive. Dare I say, it’s about time?
Oh Drewmaniac – Yeah but now we have to think of things to talk about! Good thing it’s hard for me to shut up up sometimes.
Congrats Rachel! Another great mind talking out loud to keep me on my toes.
Well it’s about time. For the most part this business isn’t about being right or wrong (though there’s definitely plenty of wrong in the field). It’s about learning and growing as professionals to better serve our clients.
Another voice, particularly one as informative and helpful as yours, is a most welcome addition.
Welcome to the blogosphere

PS – The name is fantastic!
Welcome to the blogosphere! I just started blogging earlier this year myself. I look forward to reading your posts!
So excited for you, Rachel! It will be great to have your voice out here (in more than 140 characters). Look forward to reading!
@amymengel
Good for you, Rachel! I’ve long admired your humor and point of view, and I look forward to seeing more of it here.
@KellyeCrane
How exciting Rachel! I look forward to reading your future posts and have already subscribed.
Keep up the great work!
Best,
@HeyStephanie
I just realized I haven’t said welcome, congratulations, about time or anything else here yet – man, I’m slipping!
I don’t think I can add anything to what’s already been said here, Rachel. You always have interesting viewpoints to share, whether it’s on Twitter chats, exchanges, blog comments or on the phone. So having your own blog seems a more than obvious extension.
Besides, as everyone else has said, a voice that’s as passionate and knowledgeable as yours – what’s not to love about that joining the blogosphere?
Welcome aboard!
I owe some serious appreciation for all the warm welcomes here. The very best part is that every single one of you are professionals who I’ve developed a great amount of respect for and many of you were inspirational in my decision to start blogging. It means a lot to have your encouragement!
I feel like I’m learning how to ride a bike.
Welcome! I’m excited to see what discussion starters you’ll add to the mix. It’s always great to have another smart POV on issues and such in our industry.
Subscribed and looking forward to future conversations.
